Brief description: Institute of Science and Technology, Skolkovo is a project of the Swiss architectural bureau Herzog & de Meuron, winner of the Pritzker Prize. The silhouette of Skoltech - the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology - can be seen from afar.       A ribbed facade trimmed with light wood with angular folds of the roof, like the Elbe Philharmonic of the same authors, cannot be confused with anything. A round building with a diameter of 280 meters resembles a stadium - we have never built such institutions.
 
Main task: The project is LEED certified.
One of the challenges is to apply smart lighting control solutions. Limiting gloss was one of the most important design challenges. It was necessary to comply with the standardized UGR values. The task was set to prevent the glare of natural light from the windows from being reflected off the luminaire in the off state. For this, a special lighting plastic was selected, with which the devices are equipped.
 
Solution: LTE has offered a centralized lighting control system, which allows to control lighting according to a scenario and control energy consumption. All luminaires are DALI controlled.

All devices are equipped with high quality LEDs of the latest series from CREE and NICHIA. Light output is more than 130 lm / W. At the same time, the requirements for ensuring high color rendering qualities of light were met.
In each luminaire model, structural parameters were optimized and the characteristics of reflective and scattering materials were selected to meet the requirements for limiting brightness, UGR.

Electronic converters and control systems provide the ability to flexibly change the luminous flux in time with automatic control or in manual control mode, no pulsations over the entire dimming range.

There are a large number of laboratories and offices inside. Accordingly, each laboratory has its own design concept with its own wall colors and finishes. Luminaires are made for each laboratory in the same RAL color as the surface.
