Lighting Technologies supports young lighting designers

01 - 01 january 1970
Our company is a partner in the competition for the best lighting design of a museum exposition among young professionals. The competition is held by the Lights of Moscow museum with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives.

The challenge is to develop a lighting concept for a small museum. As the main prize, the winners will be able to implement their ideas and add the project to their own portfolio.

In preparation for the competition, Lighting Technologies held an online lecture for participants and museum staff, demonstrating their first professional lighting fixture for exhibition spaces – GLOW/T. Its distinguishing feature is flexibility. Thanks to the smooth change of angle from 10 to 60 degrees and dimming of the luminous flux, it works for lighting large art galleries, as well as for small thematic exhibitions.

Our company is just starting the journey in the field of professional lighting of exhibition areas. However, we have already taken part in the lighting projects for the Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya museum in Petrishchevo village in Moscow region. We have also supplied floodlights for the Cosmos pavilion at the All-Russian Exhibition Center, among other projects. In publications to follow, we will tell you more about our new product of excellent light quality and unbelievable opportunities.

The participants and winners of the competition will receive an extra award from Lighting Technologies. We will give out 15 "lighting designer kits" (accent lighting fixtures with interchangeable optics for simulating lighting on site). Light Technologies’ prize fund of RUB 120,000 will be distributed among the three winners (watch the lecture for more details).

The participants may submit their projects starting from 1 March. We hope all of them enjoy the process, and may the strongest win!
