Project Overview: Barry Callebaut is a Swiss company, one of the leaders of the global chocolate market. The company manufactures industrial and consumer chocolate; it owns a number of cocoa plantations and cocoa processing factories. The company has a factory in Russian Chekhov (Moscow Region). The factory’s capacity is 27.5 thous tonnes of industrial chocolate.
Task: The primary task is to reduce energy consumption by switching over to long-term LED solutions. Savings on luminaires maintenance were another significant factor for the customer.
Tough requirements were set to luminaireps in the core food production facilities. It was necessary to replace luminaires fixtures ‘point-to-point’ without rewiring. The luminaires are supposed to have a high-temperature capability (the temperature in certain shops is as high as +50°C).
Outcome: As part of factory’s lighting reconstruction, all old luminaires were replaced with LED luminaires manufactured by Lighting Technologies. Street lighting is based on FREGAT LED, warehouses and the building perimeter are lit using HB LED, and the production plant is equipped with ARCTIC.OPL ECO LED. Furthermore, the warehouse is equipped with motion detectors ensuring a major optimisation of energy costs.
