Creation of a comfortable office center work environment and selection of luminaires to retrofit into the existing interior design.

Short site description: Skolkovo is a modern research, technology, and innovation center aimed at developing and commercialization of new technologies, the first Russian "science town" being built from scratch in the post-Soviet time. The objective of this center is to create a special economic environment for businesses working in the industries of key importance for the modernization of Russian economy, such as space technologies and communications, biomedical technologies, energy efficient technologies, information technologies, and nuclear technologies. According to the project, more than 25,000 people will live and work in this area of 2.5 million sq. m by 2020. The territory of Skolkovo Innovation Center (Mozhaysky district) became part of Moscow on July 1, 2012 in the course of a massive expansion of Moscow territory up to the so called Greater Moscow.

Objective: Provide all lighting for the office center (Technopark). As most of the rooms comprise employee workplaces, the main goal when selecting luminaires was to create a comfortable work environment and at the same time realize the existing design concept. Initially, the lighting design was based on products by European manufacturers. Since the luminaires had to be replaced as part of the import replacement initiative, the new LED-based lighting fixtures were not only to fit the existing design visually but also to provide workplace illuminance at a level of 450 lx.

Luminaires used: RIVAL LEDLINER LEDHOOPBAGEL and others.

Result: Visual similarity to the existing design and the required illuminance level has been achieved. The result has fully met the expectations and, according to the feedback, even surpassed them thanks to several unique solutions implemented. Black angled connecting pieces have been used with white RIVAL luminaires. LINER luminaires have been installed in a Grriliato ceiling. In the open space, each workplace has a HOOP luminaire installed above it, and the cafe area is lit with BAGEL luminaires (an LT EMOTIONS sub-brand).
